  • Ingredients: lavender tea, lemon, honey, sparkling water, basic yinstinct, (opt. gin)
  • Practices: Hum for 30-seconds, tap your collar bone 

 

◍ Lavender Moon Mocktail

A floral mocktail with calming lavender, bright citrus, and a dose of Yinful’s sensual sweetness.

Ingredients:

  • ½ tsp lavender, steeped in ¼ cup hot water
  • 2 droppers Yinful tincture
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp raw honey (or to taste)
  • Sparkling water
  • Ice
  • Optional: splash of gin or elderflower liqueur
  • Garnish: dried lavender or lemon twist

Instructions:

  1. Steep lavender in hot water for 5 minutes. Strain.
  2. In a shaker or glass, combine lavender tea, lemon juice, honey, and Yinful. Stir or shake well.
  3. Pour over ice and top with sparkling water.
  4. Garnish with lavender or lemon peel. Sip slowly.


A note on lavender:

Lavender (Xun Yi Cao in Traditional Chinese Medicine terms) is valued for its calming and soothing properties, which are believed to work by interacting with meridians in the body.

When you’ve been "activated" all day, it can be difficult to switch to "receive." Use the 5 minutes your tea is steeping to sink into your body.

  • Hum for 30 seconds—this activates the vagus nerve to calm your nervous system
  • Share a 7-second silent hug—co-regulate with a partner
  • Sway and rock—slow, rhythmic movement mimics the soothing traits from our parents


↑ Pleasure

Slow is fast and fast is slow. As you sip your evening beverage, invite pleasure. Cultivate moments of foreplay through movement, textures, and tastes.

  • Glide body oil over your arm, neck, and collar bone to moisturize 

  • Close your eyes as you slowly suck on fruit like a strawberry or mango

  • Stretch your limbs high above your and toes as far as they reach. Arch your back and rock your joints.
